A Little Bit About Me...

I've been an artist my whole life and went to school for illustration and multimedia where I got the opportunity to learn under a Pixar story artist. My style ranges from caricatures to large scale wall murals and paintings. I'm a logo and tattoo designer as well. I also do video editing and production with a focus on preproduction and storyboarding. I love composition, pressure psychology, line psychology and color theory. I really enjoy teaching others how to draw, and believe that with practice just about anybody can create something great!

I believe that each child has their own special style of learning in which they succeed the best at. When I tutor students I take the time to get to know each student on an individual basis and as a unique person. I make it a priority to determine their learning style and use that to implement a plan. I try and understand the reason they are having problems in their studies and then execute a plan in which they can succeed. I create study guides, review questions, and sample test questions for the students as well. With grammar and mechanics, I have found that a directive manner is often the best approach; sometimes, however, students require clarification of ideas and organization, in which case I pose questions and share observations, rather than instruct. With reading assignments, clarification of thesis, organization, and vocabulary are usually most helpful.
