I feel the best way to learn is to not have information force fed, but to allow the individual to glean knowledge and come to an understanding of the subject gradually. While I am serious about learning and education, I also consider my sense of humor my strongest personality trait. I change my teaching style depending on the client. With ESL students, I will often point out every mistake to them so that they can get used to seeing what the correct way looks like. With other students, I point out a few mistakes, and then expect them to find the others on their own. With math, I will give out a sample problem, work out how it is done, then expect the student to do a new math problem on his or her own. All in all, I will adjust my teaching style depending on the needs of the client.

I attended the college of The Virgin Islands (presently University of the USVI) and graduated with a Bsc in Biology in 1986. While in college I became captivated with computers and programming.
