I like to interact with my students to pull forth their potential in which they may not see in themselves. As a graduate of Elizabeth City State University, I pursued an education in Computer Science with a minor in mathematics. I have gained experience in the these two fields in which I excel in. I have had experience tutoring young children at my church(math), as well as helping other peers during my tenure at Elizabeth City State University. I have obtained a BS in Management-Health Care/HR and 5 Associate degrees in Business Administration, Administrative Office Technology, Medical Office Technology, Legal Secretary, and College Transfer. I have been homeschooling my son since 2006 and mentoring students through a local church for just as long. In addition, I tutored in 1990-1991 and 1994-1997 while in college to earn extra money. I earned a degree in Biology, which has fully equipped me for tutoring to children who have difficulties in any subject, but especially science. By being a Biology major I was exposed to all types of seminars, scientific research, labs and other various types of learning implements that have been beneficial in my teaching practices. In the past two years I have privately tutored two children from the ages of 5 and 7. I have tutored them in every subject from reading, and math to science projects. I have also worked at a preschool Kehillah Jewish Preschool with 4 and 5 year olds preparing them for kindergarten, which included phonics, reading, writing, number and letter recognition, pre-math skills such as measuring and sorting.
