I believe there is more than one way to accomplish a goal so I am not limited to only one certain teaching style. I will adapt to my client. A client may learn best while sitting and discussing subjects, another client may learn better if the subject can somehow become an activity and still other clients may absorb information a different way. I am prepared to adapt my approach to ensure my clients benefit from every session. I teach to the child and motivate them to do better through their natural desires to achieve and to seek approval. I believe in postive reinforcement that is linked to realistic and attainable goals. Building relationship with children and their families is the best tool I know for helping children learn. I see children as a part of the greater systems of family and community.
