I have always wanted to be a teacher. I have a BS degree in Physical Education with a History Minor. During the last six years, I was a teacher's assistant in K through 6 grade teaching reading. The reading method I use helps students learn to read and enhances their fluency and comprehension. It is repetitious, short story driven and enjoyable reading for motivating the student. Students can actually chart their own success in their reading logs and see that they have accomplished and reached their goal set for them. Living with a disability has posed more challenges in my education than the average person, yet I have faced these challenges and overcome them. I earned my bachelor degree in social welfare in three years and I recently obtained my graduate degree in criminology, law, & society - both from the University of California.
