When working towards my Bachelor's I was able to achieve a dual BS in Accounting and Business Management. After working a few years, I decided to go into teaching. While doing this, I was able to assimilate my real life working experience, into the classroom. I have since obtained a second certification in Special Education. This was after obtaining my Master's in 2007. I believe the combination of these teaching areas, would allow me to help those students, who need different areas of help. By working closely with other professionals, I have been able to put into practice many of the educational theories and figure out how they work best with my style of teaching and the students with whom I work. I have worked at a school for students with emotional, learning, and behavioral needs and developed positive relationships with each student. I also did a research study to improve behavior, reduce anxiety and stress and enhance academic performance with the use of biofeedback software.
