A Little Bit About Me...

It is important for me to help students understand through real world examples. I do my best to develop training material and a learning environment that is relatable to their ultimate application. Much of the training I do requires initial "buy-in" ... if a student does not believe what they are learning will have application and benefit for them, they will not be open to learn. I try very hard to build this confidence up-front.
For the last 20 years I have been in Sales & Marketing for various large companies (additional detal available upon request). I have a master's degree in English plus 21 hours. I taught high school English for 21 years. I now teach online and tutor at the Boys and Girls Club. I have expertise in writing, literature, and grammar. When I was an English teacher I taught English 7 - 12. During those years I taught a total of 21 Shakespearean plays to my five classes. I taught middle school English, American Literature, English Literature, and Advanced Placement courses. I used to teach ACT and SAT prep at Sylvan Learning Center.
