As I stated above, I am really comfortable working one-on-one with students. I feel that we can get to know each other, I can learn the way the student best learns, and where his problems lie. I feel the student can develop trust and confidence both in me and himself in this type of situation which may help to carry over into a regular classroom. I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). I think that with the right guidance and put in the right environment, anyone can learn. I look forward to being that "right guidance." I very much enjoy working with children. I enjoy that as i teach them they are teaching me as well. Each individual child learns in their own different way not like that of any other.
