I teach by the book all the grammar and syntax rules. Then, when the student is enough confident to make a basic conversation, I choose an everyday scenario and try to build the conversation around it. I also focus a lot on the writing, especially when wanting to use it for business. Business Italian is very formal and not straight forward like English and so needs a lot of practice and dedication. Besides teaching books, my teaching tools are TV programs, movies, radio shows, internet, magazines, newspapers and cooking books.
