I feel very strongly about the importance of a good education. Having a degree in English, I have much experience in using proper grammar, technical writing skills and creative writing skills. I have tutored students in the area of English, biology, history and some spanish.
I have always loved working with children. Through my experience as a special education instructor, I have learned children can learn in a variety of ways. My teaching philosophy is that each child has different strengths, and it is imperative to tailor an educational program to these strengths. By highlighting what a student is good at, their confidence is increased. This confidence will help them overcome academic obstacles. I believe that teachers play a huge role inthe success of their students, and that with the right support system, any child can acheive their academic goals.

We went to South Africa. The courses I covered every day throughout the semester included Health, Sociology, World Literature and American Literature.

I believe it takes more than a single individual to make a difference in the life of a child. In my experience working with children, I have seen the value, benefits and the importance of including other colleagues, administrators, parents, and the community into a child’s learning. I can encourage each child to achieve their highest level of success by including all of these resources in their education.
