I am a third year student studying for an Elementary Education degree through DmACC and Iowa State. I have just completed a year of Elementary Educator math courses. I have also have a degree in Practical Nursing and Limited Radiology Technology. I decided to go back to school to become an Elementary Teacher after being a nurse for several years and also ran a daycare out of my home when my kids were small. I first started tutoring in high school, both privately and as a volunteer. My favorite subjects to tutor were Algebra and Calculus, though I also tutored Spanish, English, and Biology. In college, I continued this work in a more formal setting as a lab assistant, teaching assistant, and tutor for the Grinnell College Science Learning Center.
