Nothing is better than seeing a huge smile on a child's face once they cath on to something. I love helping children learn by doing a lot of visual activities and practicing! Once I have established where he/she needs work, I show the student a different way of looking at the problem(s). I use their motivations to demonstrate the value of learning the subject in which he/she struggles.
