A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently earned my BS in Accounting from Wilson College in 2009. I have just finished up my first tax season at H&R Block in Chambersburg where I received very beneficial experience. I have researched and written numerous research papers at Wilson College and presented various Powerpoint presentations also.
My teaching style comes from 15 years of teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and being a Youth Group Leader as well. I have also been a server trainer at my current job at Cracker Barrel for 9 years. I am a very patient person and I treat others with respect. I love to help others learn and I explain things thoroughly which is the way that I tend to learn. While in high school, I was a certified adult literacy tutor. Since I've had children, I have been an active volunteer in their classes - preschool through elementary school. I hold a BS from PSU in Finance with a minor in Economics. I earned my MBA while working full time in less than 2 years. In my last position, I was the training team lead for IT and policy for the Department of the Navy's financial card program. I have taught classes as small as 4-5 individuals to as large as 1200 students.
I love to teach and to see the students actually understanding the concept and putting the context into action. A Little Bit About Me...

As an online graduate at Kaplan University, I quickly became aware of my priorities. Students seeking help often emailed other classmates for assistance. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I attended graduation in Chicago, IL, where I learned no matter what obstacles in life you face you can continue your education if your mind is set to do it. My overall GPA at Allegany College of Maryland was 3.6 and 3.5 at Kaplan University Online.
