My teaching philosophy is one that is formed based on my drive to inspire and my belief in academic excellence. I am inspired to be one of those teachers that students look back on and remember as someone who has helped them achieve their goals. To me, significant teaching accomplishments come through the achievements of the students. As an educator it is important for me to teach my students how to balance the busy schedule of someone working in the business world, with their desire for education. A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently earned my BS in Accounting from Wilson College in 2009. I have just finished up my first tax season at H&R Block in Chambersburg where I received very beneficial experience. I have researched and written numerous research papers at Wilson College and presented various Powerpoint presentations also.
My teaching style comes from 15 years of teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and being a Youth Group Leader as well. I have also been a server trainer at my current job at Cracker Barrel for 9 years. I am a very patient person and I treat others with respect. I love to teach and to see the students actually understanding the concept and putting the context into action. I try to teach the big picture first - if the student understands why they need the subject and how it will benefit them in their future, it makes the learning relevant.
