I use the scientific method of teaching. My style is Socratic. I believe, as Rene Descartes did before me, that human knowledge is innate, including our ability to learn and use language. I teach children to learn by given them the tools they need to think logically and abstractly. Life is dynamic, what happens today, will likely change tomorrow. I believe that children need to understand that there are consequences for their actions. The scientific method is a great way of learning cause and effect. As a student of German at Bellarmine University, I was able to learn the German language through immersion experiences in Austria and Germany. I also studied German grammar and literature in depth through classes at Bellarmine. I was a tutor in the Academic Resource Center for two years as I was completing my degree and continued to work with students for a year after my graduation. I enjoy the German language very much and love explaining how it works to students.
