A Little Bit About Me...

I find that students (myself included) learn best when they feel safe and that they can be successful. I believe it's important to teach in the zone of proximal development and build on a student's interests. The best way to do this is begin with activities that are fun and if it's possible, to access the creative side of the brain during learning to help students to relax.

Together we compiled our lessons into a book, and once a week each we taught a small group of students. One method may work for Student A but not Student B, so I aspire to teach methods that will reach both students. I engage and interact with my students a lot in order to properly gauge how my students are progressing and what I can do to further help them.
