I began tutoring high school and college students in 1986. I have 6 children of my own who I have raised and taught science and mathematics. I worked 2 years as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida and was a volunteer instructor at Brigham Young University. I speak Japanese fluently and am semi fluent in German. My style of teaching mathematics, science and Japanese is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. It is only through solving problems (for mathematics and science) and practice (for Japanese) that this knowledge becomes ingrained in a student so that they are confident to move forward.

I have taught in many environments under many circumstances. My work as a geometry tutor for a 10th grade enabled me to learn to explore teaching methods that best suited him. I have a deep passion for the sciences so my bachelor’s degree in biology was a natural fit. I discovered while working in a graduate program that I also love to teach.
