From age seven, I have had a passion for teaching and public speaking. I am involved with a continuing education program that hones speaking and teaching ability. In high school, I helped to pilot and served as captain of the Speech and Debate team (National Forensics League). I also worked as a Teacher Cadet. I took four years to volunteer at an educational center after high school where I completed an advanced course in public speaking. When my only son was born I was a caregiver to my mother who had suffered numerous strokes and was wheelchair bound. When he started school I became a full time substitute teacher and then enrolled in Florida's Teacher Professional Educator's Certification program.I am certified in k-6th and Integrated Middle School. I homeschooled my only son in the 9th and 10th grades due to a bully situation. I am very proud to say he is graduating this year from the University of Florida, Cum Laude in Biochemistry and math.
