I studied 3 years (6 semesters) of Japanese in college- 2 years at UNCG and 1 year at Seinan Gakuin University in Fukuoka, Japan. I have continued to practice reading, writing, and speaking. I graduated from Georgetown University in '05 with a BA in Chinese. I won the Chinese Award, spent a semester at Peking University, and received a 7 on the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test. I grew up speaking Japanese. I took a few courses while at GU, spent a semester at Sophia University, and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level One. I always did fine in my English courses and can help in that regard too. Up until college I was always a math/science guy, and while my calculus and statistics are rusty, I am confident in my ability to tutor up to and including algebra. I was a paid tutor briefly in high school, but besides that have often helped classmates who needed help with this or that subject.
