I have over 12 years of experience in the elementary education field. While my passion is reading instruction, I am certified and have taught in all elementary subjects: math, science and social studies.I have spent the last 8 years working as a reading specialist at a K-5 elementary school and the past three summers as a reading tutor with Lynchburg College's Summer Reading Clinic. I have my degree in Elementary Education. I have had experience teaching large class sizes, but I have also spent a lot of time in small group reading instruction, and I have worked in small group math. I tutored a kindergarten girl to improve her phonemic awareness. I tutored Language Arts in elementary school after school hours. I enjoy working with children and adults and I have worked as a public school teacher for 10 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the College of William and Mary.
