Over many years as an IT person, I worked with clients, one on one, teaching them how to get their computer to do what they want it to do. Often times, the client would be very frustrated. I needed to first, relieve the frustration – then determine what needed to be done to rectify the situation (through a question and answer processes). Additionally, positive reinforcement is needed throughout the learning process to allow for a more affirmative result.
I am very patient and concerned. My major objective is to identify the area that needs to be addressed. I often also use comparisons to 'real world' similarities in order to make the point. I am certified to teach secondary mathematics and social studies by the state of OHIO. I also enjoy teaching college students and tutoring on a weekly basis.
