 Piano is one of my top subjects!I have played piano for 30+ years; took music classes in college and have played the organ and piano for church services, weddings, funerals, as well as performed as accompanist for High School Choir. I have been teaching piano for the past 10 years and cover music theory, performance level skills and music composition.
I have taught piano for the past 30 years to children and adult students. I have also been a performer as I have played piano as accompanist for High School Choir performances; I was pianist and organist at several churches for weekend services; I have played for weddings, funerals, baptisms and other services as needed. I am currently teaching piano lessons to elementary and high school students in my in-home studio. My approach to teaching involves making sure that the children are enjoying the lessons. My lessons incorporate using proper position of the hands, finger technique and proper fingering for each song, learning to read the scales, treble clef and bass clef, and applying style, musicality and expression to each song. My technique and teaching style is very engaging for my students and makes music fun!
