My comments on tutoring Algebra I : Retired secondary classroom teacher after 32 years in public education. I taught Algebra I for 10 years. Currently teaching at several SAT/ACT College Prep Businesses in Plano, Frisco, Argyle,and Denton.

I structure lessons with one-on-one instruction, interactive and independent practice, and opportunities for extended learning through applications.
I am a retired classroom teacher after 35 years of teaching experience in public education. I currently teach at UNT and NCTC. I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, regular and Pre-AP Algebra II, regular and Pre-AP Pre-Calculus,Trigonometry, and SAT/ACT Prep. I have tutored students in preparing for SAT, ACT, TAKS, TASP, THEA, and STAAR Tests. I was the District Teacher of the Year for Aubrey ISD in 1995 and have been selected to Who's Who Among America's Teachers for two consecutive years.

I have always had a passion for learning, and helping others learn. In middle school, High School and College, other students came to me for help with assignments. Knowing what it is like to be a student, I try to see from the students point of view. Each student teaches me their own way to learn. I enjoy learning and hope that I can share that joy with others.
My degree in Engineering has given me plenty of experience in math and science. I have also had graduate courses in Physics and Engineering. As a graduate student at UNT, I instructed several physics and astronomy labs and learned first hand what teaching can be like. I am an upbeat, organized, an intelligent tutor who loves to teach and does so best through participation.
