A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is one that is student centered. When I first meet a child, my priority becomes to learn what teaching style best fits them. I do this through the use of Howard Gardener's Multiple Intelligences. I hold high expectations for all students and reward effort. I am strict, but also fair and kind. A Little Bit About Me...

I have completed a MAST (Mathematics as Strategic Teaching) Seminar. I have completed training over engaging difficult students and I have also learned more innovative techniques in which to use when engaging students who are trying to achieve more challenging skills. I designed a program called Math Mates, which was an after school intervention program for students who needed more hands on time for learning, I opened the program up for all students but set aside certain days when specific students were invited so we could use more hands on manipulative and we worked on the different content standards.
