Hello! I am a research chemist working at Clemson University. I received my doctorate at University of Chicago in 2019 in the physical sciences. I tutored Math, Science, Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, and Biology. I taught college level General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry classes as well as tutoring 1-on-1 and group sessions. I also have experience working with elementary and middle school students working as a nanny, helping with homework, literature, writing, math, and science projects. Over the summer I teach chemistry courses with High School Students training them in materials chemistry and scientific research. I am available afternoons / evenings / weekends. During my time at Hampden-Sydney College, I was a math tutor, computer science tutor,and a physics tutor. I started tutoring my junior year of college where I just tutor math and computer science. I mostly help students with Calc I and Calc for Econ problems. In my senior year, I continued to tutor math, but I tutored stats instead of calculus. I also tutored physics.
I first start by explaining the material the way that I understand it. I also show examples to show how the problems are solved. If it doesn't seem to be taking then I start to break the problems down into simple steps and explain each step until the student understands.
