I try to model my own love of learning to my mentee.

I’ve been exploring possible future careers for myself. Recently as I was tutoring one of my classmates with an English assignment, she mentioned to me that I am very easy-going when it comes to helping her learn and understand the assignments. I know shotcuts in math that really help students to safe time and understand the material. I created my own theory of explaning things that is not writtern in any math book. It is easy to understand for students. The most important thing is to explain math through pictures not formulas. The formulas will be understand automatically after the student understands the picture and concept. I am very patient and ready to explain as long as it takes. My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : Math is one of my favorite subjects to teach. I have taught math as part of the elementary coursework in LAUSD schools with students ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade. I am trained and proficient in both the Envision and Singapore Math curriculum.

I have always enjoyed working with children and find helping them to be successful in school to be extremely gratifying work. My teaching experience has included Kinder, third, fourth and fifth grade general ed classes. In addition, I have conducted remedial and test prep workshops after school hours for those children who were having difficulty keeping up in their primary classrooms.
