I have been in the educational field for over 15 years as a tutor, aide, and a classroom teacher. I have a degree in Food and Nutrition which contained many credit hours of science. In fact, my adviser wanted my to minor in Science because of all of my credits. I have taken 12 credit hours of Biology, 12 credit hours of Chemistry, and 9 credit hours of Anatomy and Physiology. I've been teaching for about 7 years in high school, both in the public and private sector. I taught for 5 years at Vashon High School and 1 year at Incarnate Word Academy. Subjects were Biology related in both settings. While teaching there I recieved my certification as well as a Master's degree in Education from UMSL. Before being downsized at IWA, I received my Master's in Biology from Washington University. This past spring semester I taught both major and non-major Biology, a full time overload schedule at East Central College in Rolla, MO.
