I graduated from my high school with honors. I have been in College since two weeks after graduating high school, where I am slowly pursuing a career in Nursing while working full time at the Dow Chemical Company. For a summer, I was a nanny for two Junior High aged girls, who I did tutor with summer school work.

My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level. Showing the student how the material can relate to real-life situations and opportunities would be a vital part of the instruction.

I have taught 6-12th grade English for three years. While teaching in Detroit I was the lead teacher heading the tutoring program for MEAP preparation. I have also prepared North Carolina students for ACT and SATs.

In August of 2008, I was given the opportunity to teach three English courses at Mid Michigan Community College: (2) ENG 111: Freshman English Composition courses, and (1) ENG 097 course, which was designed to help struggling readers learn how to read a variety of texts throughout his/her college career.
