Experience Summary

In my 30 years of teaching in the special education field I have taught in grades 1st-8th grade. I have also taught in varies capacities, such as an inclusion setting, self-contained classroom, and resource room. In those capacities I have: •Team – teach, lesson plan development, grading, and instructing in an Inclusion setting for 5th, 6th, 7th,and 8th graders. Develop strategies for students on my caseload as well as sharing them with the general education teachers. • Taught drama, which included directing and performing plays • Conduct one-on-one and/or small group math, reading, and writing intervention lessons • Keep open communication with general education teachers • Taught kindergarten through 5th grade special education students in a self-contained classroom. • Developed and implemented daily and unit lesson plans. • Open communication with parents, school social workers, psychologists and principals.
