A Little Bit About Me...
As an English major at the University of Florida, I found a love for language learning and language acquisition; as a result, I declared Linguistics and TESL as additional majors. In these majors, I became quit ept at understanding grammatical principles and language learning theory. I began volunteering my knowledge to foreign language learners and found that I loved helping others learn. After receiving my BA, I began teaching writing and reading to native and non-native speakers at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL. As an English teacher, I also found other job opportunities at labs on campus and with private tutoring companies. One of the labs I worked in, the CLAST lab, also tutored math: college algebra, statistics, geometry, and logic. In this lab, I learned how to effectively teach math as well.
