My teaching style is geared more towards each individual child. Some are auditory learners, some learn just by watching and still others require tactile stimulation in order to learn. I generally use a combination of all three focusing on the one that is strongest for each individual child. I believe with patience and understanding all children can and will learn. I have had wondeful teachers myself and strive to pattern myself after them to make a significant difference in each child's life. As a student in the PhD program at the University of Florida, I have been very involved in academic pursuits. However, this personal endeavor reaches beyond my own experience as a student and extends into my professional work as an educator.
