I am preparing to graduate in the spring of 2011 from Mississippi State University with a special education degree. I have studies pedagody and methods for two years with a range of experiences in all types of classrooms. I will be a highly qualified teacher in the spring. I have been in a classroom since I was conceived. My parents are high school science teachers. I have studied a variety of subjects, and I have a deep content understanding of math and science. I have tutored college students in anatomy and physiology and college algebra. I am a whole brain power teacher. Most of my experience is with exceptional children from a range intelligence. Intelligence is relative, and it is the teacher's job to highlight a student's strengths.

As a Bradley University graduate, I graduated cum laude with a degree in chemistry from one of the best chemistry departments in the midwest. I believe children learn by experiences and examples. Making it relevant and interesting makes them to want to learn. They begin to understand the purpose for learning the material. Children have different learning styles and every child doesn't learn at the same rate. Teachers must realize this when planning lessons. Students need to know that to have the basics such as a home, a car and food for their family, they need an education. Kids don't think about the future and how their decisions will determine the rest of their lives.
