Buddies are important because they give students someone other than the teacher to go to with questions that may seem "silly" and give them someone with whom to share concerns. Books and technology can be used to multi-facet the learning experiences of all students involved, as there may be several types of abilities in the classroom and multiple "intelligences," as well.
