Need a good Math tutor? Look no further!

I have been a tutor since high school. In HS I tutored for ESL (English as a Second Language). More recently I have been a Math tutor at Augsburg College. I am proficient in the subjects ranging from pre-algebra to calculus 3. I am pretty good with statistics and logic (Discrete Math) as well. I also have experience teaching younger children as well. It is my hope that by helping other people with Math they will learn to like it as much as I do.

I believe that people learn in different fashions. For example, I feel that some concepts may be better explained with tangible objects while other concepts are learned better when questioned and discussed. By exploring the different ways of learning we can find what works best for that individual and use that method as a tool for their understanding. I feel, in the past, that many of the peers I tutored not only obtained/recollected more information, but were more comfortable in a quiet, relaxed environment. I love teaching and working with all children of all ages and believe all children can learn, but I've learned that students learn in different ways.
