A Little Bit About Me...

I have a good experience of tutoring hundreds of students over a decade period of time. I have tutored from first grade student to bachelors' degree students. I have formally taught students from grades four to ten for six months as a science teacher. Recently, I helped my wife in Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Lab and College Algebra. She got straight A's in them upgrading her GPA. Most importantly, my tutoring helped my students to uplift their self-esteem, confidence and to accept learning as a process which can be made more pleasant and simple. :)

A Little Bit About Me...

I consider teaching as the most noble work a person can do. Both my parents are teachers since 1970s and I carried that gene. In my opinion, teaching is a partnership between the instructor and the student. Feeding the curiosity of the students can help them get passionate about the subject and try to find answers. Such style helped me explain hard subjects such as cryptography to non-computer students. Moreover, technology can enhance the learning experience by providing intuitive tools such as social networking to better the communication between students and instructors. A successful instructor is the one who is ready to be the student of his students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I follow the teaching strategy of Total Physical Response with commands, and TPR for stories. I find that this gets the students engaged with the foreign language, and they start communicating in Spanish faster than if other teaching styles or strategies were used. I have had good success with TPR and TPRS. The focus of this strategy is teaching language the way a child learns his/her own language, starting with commands, and adding nouns, and adjectives to the verbal commands. Then, we progress into stories, and students interact with the words and phrases of the stories.
I have always been fascinated with the Spanish language: its phonology, expressions, and many forms of the Spanish language.
