In one form or another, I have been in a university setting for 18 years and for the last five years, I have been a columnist, writer and teacher in several capacities as a university reading and writing consultant, a public school substitute, an introduction to literature professor, a reporter and columnist, a film/music editor, a writing strategies professor, and a composition and rhetoric instructor. This is my second time tutoring and my first time was a great experience. It was stressful a first but after I formed a bond with those I tutored, everything else was simple. In high school, Math as never my strongest subjects, and it still isn't unless its Elementary Math. I had to take ALGEBA 1 three times! Any History subject and Language Arts is my strongest areas. For almost twenty years, I’ve worked with students as a K-12 as a tutor, coordinator, counselor, and advocate in a variety of educational environments. I am committed to the belief that achieving a good education is the most viable way for students to become productive citizens. In 2006, I returned to college to obtain my bachelor’s degree and by flexing my classes scheduling, earned 83 hours in 6 consecutive semesters and graduated Magna cum laude from Eastern Illinois University in the December 2007.
