A Little Bit About Me...

I have obtained a bachelor degree in biopsychology from GVSU, which required me to learn many levels of science and math as well as anatomy and physiology. I have a deep understanding and appreciation for this field of study and have produced many reports and essays in the aforementioned fields. I have tutored many students in math, psychology and the social sciences already. I have always excelled in English and grammar skills also. I have held a job teaching the mentally and physically handicapped skills of daily living. I also have a certain skill for understanding speech impairments. I really enjoy teaching and using a variety of educational methods to reach students. Some students respond much better to one-on-one teaching methods than they do in a larger class environment. I have always loved teaching and working with kids. I have volunteered at a number of places that allowed me to exercise my ability to tutor and mentor children ages 5-17. Since high school, I have volunteered at a local preschool. This past summer, I spent time in Honduras teaching English at an orphanage.
