I did this by striving for excellence in the classroom and participating in cutting edge research with professors in the Entomology and Organic Chemistry departments. My extensive knowledge of the subjects I’ve studied has allowed me to assist my friends in understanding complex and difficult problems. While living in Connecticut I tutored homebound high school age children who were either out on medical leave or expelled for disciplinary purposes. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching at the high school level because these kids are fun to teach. Every student has different needs and I try to meet these with various teaching styles. I find that a lot of students learn well when they are shown the information or how to do something, are lead through a process and then proceed to "teach" the process or information back to me. Others require me to help them decipher the text as science can be considered a new language for some. My goal and first priority is always to get the students to graduate. If this means that I have to alter my style for an individual, I will take the time to work with each student as much as they are willing to learn and are able to absorb with their best effort.

I first began tutoring under the direction of Nancy Donohue-Berthiaume at Quinsigamond College. I turored in Introductory Accounting, basic and college level mathematics. In my Sophmore symester, I was presented with a challenge. A young man who was both Dislexic, and Mathlexic was failing basic mathematics. In less then 1/2 hour, I was able to help him go from failing grades to straight A's. Later, I tutored fellow students in Pre-Calculus while taking the course myself. I ended up with a 4.0 GPA in that class. Later, I was provisionally certified to teach in 7th & 8th grade english and mathematics and in recent years I have felt more and more, because of my desire to help other's I would like to persue tutoring if possible.
