I believe students must be able to understand the content at the deepest level to truly learn it and to do this you must make learning interesting. I am all about hands on learning. For example, if your child needs help in science and the unit is on the water cycle, I have different experiments that would help reinforce what they learn in class. I graduated from Mount Union College in May 2006 with a BA in History and a double minor in Adoloescent to Young Adult Education and American Studies.
