Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

Organic Chemist On Call

I have discovered over my teaching tenure that it is not that students don’t understand organic chemistry, it is that they believe this is the case; many have bought into the myths that circulate about organic chemistry around the academic environments.
