My comments on tutoring Spanish : I can help with Spanish at a high school level or below. However, I'm no expert and it would help me if the student has a book.

I worked for ten months as an assistant teacher at a daycare center. I was employed through a program at my high school. My jobs included supervising and joining in with the children's activities. I've also helped children prepare for the FCAT with my church. I've assisted in teaching children their roles for a church play. *I took Spanish 1 and 2 in high school and I know the basics and can help children study for Spanish.

My teaching style is first of all finding out if the student has some basic knowledge of basic linguistics in the native language. I believe that is essential to be able to teach and learn a second language. If the student doesn't have that basic knowledge then it is important to teach it and that way it is easier to learn the foreign language. Following the birth of my third child, I taught at her pre-school and caught the teaching "bug".
