Algebra II is one of my top subjects! Algebra II incorporates subjects slightly different than algebra I. It does, however, get a bit more complex with the introduction of the Complex number system, logarithms, and polynomial functions. Nothing to stress though, as it uses the same foundations of Algebra I

I think the easiest teaching style is to show students how every concept relates. How it relates to other subjects previously learned, why it relates to the real world and why should it relate to school.
I believe my experience falls directly on the amount of effort I have put into the subjects. Coming from another country ad having a lack of communication due to an absence of knowledge of the English language, I have battled my way through school. I have had to put the time and effort into every subject I learned and will not hesitate to share that knowledge with any other student. My experience and abilities are demonstrated really by my efforts and quantity of knowledge of the subjects.

Adept High School Mathematics Tutor. Algebra to Precalculus

I am a recent graduate of Rosamond High School. During my time there I took math all the way up to AP Calculus. I took the AP test, and am awaiting the results. I have a refined mathematical aptitude, and strong people skills. I may haven never tutored professionally, but I have helped many of my peers understands challenging mathematical concepts. Whenever someone was stumped they would come to me for help. Many of my peers tell me that I helped them get a high grade on a certain test or even in the class.
When teaching a student, i try to help them understand the concept of the lesson before trying to explain the procedure. Once i have explained the concept to them, I show them how to work out the problem. Once I have walked them through a few problems, I let them try to do a couple on their own, until they get stuck. When they get stuck I try to reinforce the concept, while not ... read more

My comments on tutoring Algebra II : Tutored basic math through advanced calculus in college.

I excelled in both math and English tracks in high school, and when they ran out of math classes I could take, I started on computers. I put myself through college tutoring all levels of math from basic mathematics to advanced calcusus (though I never did like trig). I've been an award-winning professional website designer/developer for 16 years.

Mathematics expert - I can teach anyone willing to learn

One-on-one assistance.
Although Computer Science has driven the majority of my experience, my initial expertise was in Mathematics. More About This Tutor...

My tutoring experience isn't really too official. I mostly just help people with College Algebra around the dorms. I am pretty good with teaching and helping with math, and could probably do it at a High School level. Not actually having a BS probably will just limit me to high school tutoring. With the people skills I have developed working as an Resident Assistant I know I can be effective in helping high school students in math, biology, french, and chemistry.
I really like to help people in general, that's the reason why I became a Resident Assistant. As a Resident Assistant I have aided many students with problems they may have in their first year of college, including tutoring them in subjects i am proficient in. I like to see people grow and learn over which is achieved by aiding a person in discovering and cultivating various talents.

As a Liberal Studies major at California State University of Bakersfield, the majority of the classes were aimed at how to teach children and how to teach different learning types. Especially as a math concentration, I took many math courses and above knowing many techniques on teaching math, I truly understand it and enjoy it. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and with two honor societies, one recognizing the top three percent in teaching, I know I can reach many children effectively. Through the courses I worked in the classroom and after graduating I substitute taught, in both instances I worked one on one with children.
I have grown up around my cousins' children and that has truly inspired me to go into teaching. Through my courses I have personally worked with different learning styles and enjoy the challenge of teaching them a way to see math through their own eyes. There are so ... read more
