ANY Concept can be understood!

I'm PhD physicist with more than 20 years of tutoring experience at all possible levels and with variety of students ranging from gifted kids of elementary school to PhD students of Wash Uni as well as active tutors themselves.<><><><> I'm really patient (even with my own kids!) and start with putting myself in my student's shoes. I'm using variety of tools to deliver knowledge: verbal, visual, graphical, math formulas, examples from everyday life! My experience, specifically within the past two years, has been extensive. During this time spent at Webster University I was hired by the Student Literacy Corps, a non-profit organization funded by the university for the purpose of educating students in the St. Louis Public School District in English and writing. In addition to experience in the classroom in developing and implementing lesson plans and developing interpersonal skills with children of many ages, I also studied subjects such as calculus, astrophysics, South African history, and music theory. My experience in school has made me a well-rounded academic, and my experience outside of school has made me a well-rounded educator. There are many arrays of learning styles. I personally use visually, writing, and seeing the bigger picture. First, the mind can develop a concept or help map out the ideas by seeing the picture to the learning task. Second writing helps to reinforce the concept or idea. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my education, I learned easy ways to teach myself concepts. I have a BS in Biology and a Master’s in Public Administration. These degrees as well as my research experience have taught me analytical and writing skills. I have taken Calculus I, Calculus II, Trigonometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus and Statistics. I have tutored students in these subjects in addition to Biology and Biochemistry on and off for the past ten years.
For some children, some subjects are hard to understand. Children can get frustrated just by not being able to understand the subject matter. My approach is to alleviate that frustration by going through the steps slowly and demonstrating these steps several times.
