I am a licensed educational interpreter for hearing impaired children. I have been working in the schools for over 24 years. I have worked with children pre-school through senior in high school. I was with one student for 10 years and he graduated with a 3.83 grade point average. I started with him in 3rd grade and was with him until he graduated.
I do signing exact english because I feel students need proper grammar and sentence structure for a good foundation in their education. They need to be able to write a paper in english order just like their hearing peers. I love teaching. I have taught 1st and 2nd graders in an after school enrichment program and have also taught adult education.

I have recently graduated cum laude from Kent State University Stark with a BA in English and dual minors in Writing and History. The courses that I completed required an extensive amount of research and writing, in which I excelled. I also completed coursework in Grammar and in Tutoring Writing, an upper division English class which allowed me to gain employment in the University's Writing Center. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a 2006 honors graduate of Kent State University's Early Childhood Education, earning both an AS and BS and am currently working on a MS in Special Education. I entered the educational field as a career after finding a natural ability to meet the needs of learners with unique challenges through a mentor/tutor program at a local elementary school. Since then I have worked with students from preschool through eighth grades. I have also worked with all levels of learning ability from those with learning disabilities to those who are gifted.
