Some students just need a different approach to certain areas, and more one-on-one help. I volunteered at a local non-profit, providing tutoring and mentoring services to K-8 students, from 2002 to 2006. I started tutoring a seventh grade student privately in math shortly after that, and continued to tutor her in her home until her sophomore year of high school.
