I like to teach as if I am one friend talking to another. I find that this is the most relaxed way to encourage learning. While working with an adult native Spanish speaker to improve her English was certainly rewarding, my desire has always been to work with children or adolescents, as I feel that they are more amenable to an educational program and have a greater learning capacity when given the proper opportunities. A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.
I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. As an engineer, I love math, and I love tutoring math. Every student has a different way of learning, and I try to find the best way for every one, playing and learning, real problems applied, flash cards, drawings, etc. I truly believe every body can learn, understand and become to love math in the way that I do.
