Reading is one of my top subjects! I love reading. I'm a very avid reader and tend to be able to finish a 500 page novel in less than a day if I'm passionate about the reading material. My boyfriend also has dyslexia when it comes to reading and I helped him conquer his fear of reading and he's improved in his reading abilities a lot.

I believe we can only help those who wish to help themselves. My teaching style is pretty straight forward - to make the child/teenager want to learn. Make the subject matter interesting to them and approach it from their perspective. If you motivate them to make the effort the rest will happen naturally.
I graduated from Washington High in 2006 with my High School Diploma. I believe all children can learn by using different styles of learning. It is very important to find the best teaching style for each child you tudor. I will work on each childs learning style. Some methods I use are manipulitives, games, flashcards with either words or numbers, and key words to remember.
