My goal in studying linguistics is to become a professional ESL teacher. I am very much interested in language development at all levels, but especially in nonnative language development. I am a native speaker of English, but I am also fluent in Spanish as well. I love to teach and learn language. I am a professional student currently enrolled in a master of arts program for applied linguistics at the University of Montana. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style has been a very hands-on approach in the past due to my experience with environmental education. As a tutor, I strive to offer my assistance in a way children can understand.
I was a substitute teacher assistant for children with special needs ages 3-21, on and off for the past 6 years. Through studying adult learning styles, I discovered that studies show utilizing all facets of learning - writing, audio, visual, and hands on - leads to the highest levels of retention.
