A Little Bit About Me...

As a first generation college student, I appreciated when teachers made me feel special, and I try to do the same. I was a Resident Assistant and Wellness Coordinator for a dormitory at WVU for three years, where I received a Resident Assistant of the Year Award. I currently teach four sections of general biology lab and two sections of comparative anatomy lab. I was awarded the 2010 Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year award for the Department of Biology with a 93% evaluation rate. A Little Bit About Me...

I am taking a class in my Master's program in which I have learned six different educational methods to use with students. Each method is different, and I have been able to learn and work through each of them. I am confident in my ability to concentrate learning through cooperative groups, presentations, direct instructions, problem based and discovery topics, concept lessons, and disscusions. I have also been taught in each lesson how to edit the lesson for English Language Learners, gifted students, and students who need more support. I believe that each child learns in their own unique way.
