On the tutoring level, I have done individual tutoring in the area for over 5 years, and am a home tutor for my school district for students who are too ill to attend school.
My style is laid-back in a sense that every student needs to build their confidence in math. I will go over a problem several ways, and give different examples, until the student understands the concepts. Once the concept is learned, a student will be able to do any problem. I specialize in decoding the reading passages so that the student only has to choose between two multiple choice questions rather than among five, which can take up a lot of time and panicking the student.
